The Magnified World of Macro Photography

Macro photography is all about taking magnified shots of intricate details that can't be seen with naked eyes. It enables you to illustrate nature in a way that is not known to the world. Exploring the world of miniature objects with a macro lens is a special and exciting area of photography, and once you start, you will quickly become addicted. The world of macro photography holds many delights and is an area that cannot be appreciated with the human eye.

Camponotus gigas or giant forest ant is one of the largest species of ant in the world. It grows 2-3 cm in length and I have not seen any ant close to this size.

Sama Jaya Nature Reserve (Stutong Park) - Macro Shooting

Sama Jaya Forest Reserve is situated in Tabuan Jaya.It is located in Kuching city. Sama Jaya is a rich reservoir of indigenous wildlife. The wide variety of small mammals, reptiles and amphibians found here include 2 squirrel species, a shrew, 3 rat species, fruit bats, tarsiers, 9 frog species, 3 lizard species, a tortoise, wild monkey and 20 bird species.

It is one of the best place in Kuching to go for jogging or walking. You can also see lot of photographers trying some macro shootouts. I tried my first macro shoot here and you can see the output.

Tokyo Shopping Areas

People in Tokyo and Japan in general love to go shopping, so they have some of the best shops in the world.

Akihabara
It is famous for its many electronics shops manga and gaming shops. Hundreds of electronics shops of various sizes can be found around Akihabara Station and along Chuo Dori (Chuo Avenue). They offer everything from the newest computers, cameras, televisions, mobile phones and home appliances to second-hand goods and electronic junk.



Shibuya is a major shopping area and a good place to visit to see Japanese fashion. Not only are there many very trendy fashion stores, but you can see many young Japanese people wearing the latest and some just outrageous fashion in the streets.


Roppongi Hill

Mori Tower contain retail stores and restaurants. The top six floors house the Mori Art Museum and the Tokyo City View with panoramic views of the city. The area features numerous bars, nightclubs, entertainment clubs, restaurants, and other forms of entertainment



Shinjuku

The busiest train station in the world. The area immediately surrounding Shinjuku Station is home to hotels, department stores, specialist electronic and camera shops, cinemas, restaurants, and bars.

The shopping mall Nakano Broadway is the home of Mandarak, model cars, idol goods, anime song CDs, video games, cosplay items.

Ginza


Ginza is upscale area of Tokyo with numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses. It is recognized as one of the most luxurious shopping place in the world with many upscale fashion clothing stores are located here.
